The epicenter of marine biodiversity and located on a gorgeous island in a remote part of Indonesia, Misool Eco Resort is a fabulous base to explore the region’s premier snorkeling sites. During this trip exclusively for snorkelers and led by Snorkeling Report’s team, you will snorkel over all kinds of marine ecosystems, including pristine coral gardens, dramatic reef walls, and slightly deeper areas visited by manta rays.
Discover an area of the greatest marine biodiversity on the planet! Raja Ampat coral reefs are the habitat of more than 1000 fish species, including the stunning Mandarin fish, sea turtles, and hundreds of types of invertebrates, corals, sponges, and sea fans.
This trip includes 10 boat snorkeling sessions on remote coral reefs, a night time snorkeling adventure, and unlimited snorkeling on the house reef, featuring shallow corals, dramatic walls, a blue hole and a sandy lagoon.
October is the best month to spot manta rays in Misool. The quiet, commanding presence of a manta ray swimming next to you is one of the most spectacular and profound snorkeling experiences. Along with the Snorkeling Report team, you will seek this magical encounter on a very special site near the resort.
Enjoy luxury full-board accommodation at Misool Eco Resort in a South Beach Villa or a Water Cottage. Located at the edge of a lagoon the site is visited by small blacktip sharks and sea turtles. All accommodations are beachfront and offer a sea view.

Guillaume, the cofounder of Snorkeling Report, is well known as the snorkeling expert in the Snorkeling Report community. His passion is to find new, virgin snorkeling spots and spread the word to the whole world.
Nigel has 40 year’s experience as a marine biologist and spent his career assessing environmental impacts on coastal habitats. He brings his in-depth experience of marine life identification using photography.
